I apologize for not acting sooner on this, but it has become obvious that John and I do not have the capacity to handle Read it 1st, and so we are hoping you might be interested in helping us with the project. 

We hope that you like the idea of Read it 1st, and that you are keeping your pledges. The newsletter is pretty massive, big enough that it costs us more than $200 a month to send out weekly emails. We would like to cover that cost ourselves, at least at first, to keep the project alive, but we may, at some point, be asking for support from you. 

But, more important than that, we need writers. We need good, clever writers with a strong understanding of how to summarize, review, and communicate in an entertaining and effective way without spoilage. 

If you think you may be that writer, please email a sample of ONE Read it 1st section, either for a movie / book in theaters now or coming soon. Submissions must be less than 175 words, and ideally it would not be about The Hunger Games, since that’s what everyone’s going to write about, and you want to stand out from the pack a bit.
